Pre-purchasing your bingo cards: Is this a good idea?

Are you a planner? Or do you just go with the flow? If you’re the former, you probably already know about pre-buying your bingo cards and how beneficial it can be. But if you’re a go-with-the-flow kind of online bingo player, you might want to read on.

Some bingo rooms actually let you pre-purchase your bingo cards up to 24 hours before a game starts—and there’s good reason why you might want to consider taking advantage of it.

Late for a game? Don’t sweat it

Busses are late. Cars break down. Grocery checkout lanes get full of little old ladies paying with pennies. There are a million different reasons that could cause you to miss your bingo card purchase window. Pre-purchasing your bingo cards means that you’ll be good to go as soon as the game starts. Just fire up your online bingo software and you’re in the game, without having to rush.

Never miss a game of bingo, even if you’re not at your computer

Let’s say there’s a big bingo game happening tomorrow at 8pm. And at the very same time, you’re scheduled to be at a family wedding.

You could always bring your laptop to the reception hall. But shouting Bingo! when the priest asks if anyone objects to the marriage of the bride and groom might not go over very well.

You could also choose to stay home. But, again, your absence might not be appreciated, especially if you happen to be marching in the wedding (and even more especially if you happen to be the bride or groom—or the priest).

Neither of the above is a good choice. Instead, just pre-buy your cards. It puts you in the game, even if you’re not able to physically play.

Of course, you won’t be able to chat with your online bingo friends. And if the site requires you to actually hit a button when you’ve filled your bingo card, you might not be able to play. But you can always use LogMeIn and press the button when you’ve got a full card.

Just don’t let Bridezilla see you do that. Unless you’re Bridezilla. In which case, carry on.
