Celebrity Announces Exclusive Live Show for Bingo Fans

innerandre25082015What could be better than mixing celebrities and bingo for a good cause? Australian singer Peter Andre is one of the United Kingdom’s most beloved celebrities. After originally receiving mainstream attention in the late ‘90s for his Caribbean-themed ‘Mysterious Girl’, Andre has remained in the public eye through a collection of television and live event appearances, including a role in 2004’s I’m a Celebrity, Get Me out of Here reality series. However, Andre is now turning his attention toward more philanthropic causes, as he recently announced an exclusive show for avid fans willing to help him raise cash in support of cancer research.

In collaboration with one of the UK’s most popular online bingo sites, Andre is putting an interesting twist on the classic charity fund raising formula. Bingo fans who enter the giveaway will receive an opportunity to claim one of 10 tickets to be given away each day for 10 consecutive days. The show is expected to be an intimate affair, as only bingo players will have a chance to attend.

If you’re thinking that adding even more ways to win just makes bingo even more awesome, you’d be correct, but the good news doesn’t stop there. In fact, winners in this special tournament will also be given a luxurious hotel room for the night and be treated to a delicious dinner. Other surprises are also touted for the event, but only winners will be able to find out exactly what they are.

The fundraiser utilizes a classic formula to support the worthy cause. Players interested in attending the show will just need to make a minimum deposit into their accounts and buy bingo tickets for the special games created exclusively for the fundraiser. When complete, the bingo site has agreed to donate 10 percent of all ticket prices for daily fundraising games, 20 percent from weekly games and 30 percent from monthly games to the cancer research fund.

Andre’s original target for the charity games was £50,000 ($78,500), and more than half of that sum had already been raised as of Monday. When it comes to raising cash for a good cause, starting your efforts with an immensely popular game such as bingo is an unquestionably great idea. In total, it’s estimated that almost half of all people living in the UK will develop cancer during their lifetime, so it’s easy to see why the country’s bingo players are so enthusiastic about supporting the Peter Andre fund. After all, we’d all like to see cancer become a thing of the past.

While this promotion is only available to residents of the UK, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a fair share of bingo to be played no matter where you call home. It’s always a nice idea to give to charity, and it’s rarely a bad thing when an opportunity to meet one of your favorite celebrities is thrown into the mix. However, even without those added benefits, bingo is still a great way to cut loose and have some fun. Enough talking about it; let’s get started!
