Ripping off the good hearted bingo players

innerbrandu19082015As it is well-known, the bingo community is one of the most lavish groups in the gaming community. Whenever there is a bingo event set up to either raise money for a local charity or those in need, the numbers of players that show up is always quite high, big money is always raised and they are always out there supporting the cause.

So when anyone takes full advantage of the kind hearted people of the bingo community; it not only causes a major outrage but it also makes you sick to your stomach knowing that there is always someone out there looking to cause harm. Well this is what sort of world we live in where somebody will host a bingo night only to profit and make money while pretending that they are suffering from a rare form of Leukemia.

A reigning American beauty queen has recently been arrested after being accused of pretending to have Leukemia to swindle thousands of dollars from kind hearted people. The beauty queen in question is Brandi Lee Weaver she currently holds the title of Miss Pennsylvania US International.

According to CNN Authorities accuse Brandi Lee Weaver-Gates, Miss Pennsylvania U.S. International, of casting aside those attributes and faking cancer in an elaborate scheme that raised thousands of dollars. Weaver-Gates led everyone to believe she had been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in March 2013. In the years since, she took part in fundraisers to pay for her treatment. Police told CNN the most recent event was held in April and raised $14,000.

For the past two years she has been claiming to have Leukemia and has even gone to the point of shaving her head, she has recently been charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property. When she appeared in Pennsylvania court she was remanded in custody and her bail was set to a massive $150,000.

One of Brandi Lee Weaver’s most successful events in terms of her swindling money was the ‘Bingo for Brandi’ event she held, but of course it would be, get the kind hearted people of the local bingo community involved and of course they are going to donate big, it’s what they do they love to help.

The local police department started looking into the Brandie Lee Weaver case when they received an anonymous letter, the person who had sent the letter claimed that when Brandi was asked about her treatment and the doctors that had treated her she could not answer any questions.

The pageant is taking the news seriously, too, pulling her Miss Pennsylvania U.S. International title. “When you deceive the public and take people’s money that is under the pretense of fraud, we will not tolerate those actions,” said a statement from Butler’s Beauties, pageant organizers.

The worst part of this, if there is a worst part is she even lied to her family, her family members would drive her to the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore where she would tell them to wait in the lobby. How can someone be so perverse that they would go as far as telling their family that they have Leukemia just to con people out of their hard earned cash.
